Part 2

The Benefits of Study Groups

Groups study offers other advantages in addition to gaining a deeper understanding of class materials. These include the opportunity to: Reinforce note-taking. If your AP Biology notes are unclear, you can ask a member of your study group to help you fill gaps. Share talents. Each person brings different strengths, such as organizational skills, the ability to stick a task or a calculus problem together that none would have solved alone. Benefit from a support system. Members often have in common goals, such as good grades. Each person’s work affects the other members, which results in making members supportive of one another. Socialize. It’s more fun to study with other; the give and-take makes it more interesting. And because it’s more fun, you spend more time studying!

STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT

Goals
"In life as in football, you won't go far, unless you where the goalposts are."
Arnold Glasgow
This statement is true because if you don’t have any goals in life then the only thing you have is nothing nowhere to goal or aim. In football you goal is the end zone.

Working Together Helps everyone
you may have notice that when you’re explaining something you’ve learned to a friend, you begin to understand it betters yourself. This happens because, when you explain an idea, you need think more deeply about it
the same principals make study groups useful. Studying with others in a small group is helpful because you:
Think out loud
Share ideas
Learn from one another

In an effective study group, you and another students hash out lesson materials together-explaining concepts, arguing about them, figuring out why ones persons answer differs from another’s-and in the process, you most likely learn more than you would have studying by yourself.

Walk the talk

Walk the talk
This is very true because each morning you have to make a daily goal to do the right thing you don’t wake up each day thinking about doing the wrong. You have to stand out and be honest being a leader and you will be a hero in peoples mind.

“Nobody ever did, or will, escape the consequences of his choices."

- Albert a. Montapert

This statement is true because no matter how hard you try to run away from something you have done in the long term it will catch up to you and that thing is your consequences. It’s something that no matter how fast or how far you try to get away it will always catch up.

How to take on college studying Part3

Part3
Do the reading
You need to do more than just read the chapter you are assigned—you’re expect to understand them thoroughly. Here are some tips:
Ø Don’t skim. Read all the material carefully.
Ø Break up difficult assignments into sections you can digest—chapters, subsections or even paragraphs.
Ø Look up any words that you don’t understand.
Ø Pause to think about whether you understand the material; ask questions in class about anything that is unclear.
Ø Take notes instead of highlighting—this makes you think through and rephrased the key points.
Ø Create a summary sheet of what you learned from each assignment you read.
